Wedding Receptions

Stoke Rochford Hall offers one of the finest and most idyllic settings for your special day and, together with our experienced team of staff, we aim to take care of all your needs. It is our intention that you relax and enjoy yourselves, knowing that everything will run smoothly on the day.

It is entirely up to you how your special day is structured and we will work with you to ensure that your dreams become reality. If you choose to follow traditional wedding etiquette, then your special day could proceed as follows:

On arrival at Stoke Rochford Hall you will receive a red carpet welcome and congratulations from our staff.

Your choice of refreshments will be served to you and your guests.

Photographs, including the dummy cutting of the cake, will be taken by your photographer.

Once you and your guests are ready to eat, our staff will organise a formal greeting line into your reception.

Your guests will then be asked to make their way to the reception via the formal greeting line.

Once your guests are seated, our Toastmaster will announce the Bride and Groom.

The meal will commence (following Grace if you wish it to be said).

Following dessert, our Toastmaster will announce the cutting of the cake. When this has been done and all photographs taken, the cake is removed and portioned to be served with coffee and champagne for the toasts.

Following service of the wedding cake, coffee and champagne, the first speech is announced by the Toastmaster. Speeches are usually announced in the order below, but this is, of course, a personal choice:
